We're thrilled to open our new space at the ArtsCenter, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us! Join us for cake & tours from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, September 19 at the ArtsCenter (400 Roberson St., Carrboro).
The team is currently recruiting and we’d love to connect with prospective student members, families, engineering mentors, and anyone else who is excited about STEM education and fostering a thriving robotics community in our area. All are welcome! Bring your friends!

...right down the street!
Carrborobotics is now based at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro, just a hop away from our previous home at Carrboro High School.
As a community-based team, we welcome members from across the area. Thanks to our partnership with the ArtsCenter, we’re now right in the center of town, on several bus routes, and in a perfect spot for creativity and community collaborations to thrive!
Carrborobotics is a FIRST® Robotics Competition team established in 2019. We are community-based in Carrboro, North Carolina, and represent the students of Carrboro High School and several other local schools. Our team is led by students with support from experienced mentors. While we used to be based solely out of CHS, the team is now planted firmly in the heart of Carrboro at The ArtsCenter.
We strive to inspire students to pursue STEM careers and promote innovation and impact through robotics competitions. We prioritize creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking to design robots that excel in competitions. We value diversity and its importance in building a successful team.
Beyond bettering the students in our team, Carrborobotics also aims to elevate all schools in our community. We engage with our local lower schools, Mary Scroggs Elementary, and Culbreth Middle, bringing our own interactive events and robot demos to spark an interest in robotics at a young age.
